At SB Hall, the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business grants a 133-credit, four-year B.S. in Business where University of Dallas Crusaders can take courses like Quantitative Analysis, join Beta Gamma Sigma, intern with JPMorgan Chase, and pursue a 4+1 Accelerated Master’s. Chaired by Dr. Srinath Beldona, the M.S. in Business Analytics builds a 33-credit, AACSB-accredited curriculum online on D2L Brightspace with courses from Predictive Modeling to Data Visualization for SAS Global certification and a $95,000 average alumni salary. The Master of Business Administration has 42-credit, two-year Business Analytics and Healthcare Analytics concentrations for full-time working professionals to take 14 six- or 12-week online classes, including Data Mining and Value-Based Marketing, for $1,250 per credit. Directed by Dr. Sue Conger, the M.S. in Information & Technology Management delivers a 30-credit, STEM-designated online sequence of 6000-level courses, such as Data Analysis and Enterprise Architecture, in 50 states based on Quality Matters standards. About the University of Dallas

The University of Dallas originated in 1910 when the Vincentian Fathers received a Texas charter to form Holy Trinity College for private, nonprofit Catholic education. In 1928, the Congregation of the Mission was forced to close the struggling school. However, the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur revived it in 1955 by opening Our Lady of Victory College. In 1956, Bishop Thomas K. Gorman renamed it the University of Dallas and welcomed an inaugural class of 96. Two years later, the Albert the Great Priory was founded by UD’s Dominican Order clergy. In 1963, Dallas was granted initial regional accreditation. In 1964, the Blakley-Braniff Foundation donated $7.5 million to fund a graduate school. By 1989, the University of Dallas had an elite Phi Beta Kappa Chapter. In 2003, the College of Business was formally organized. One decade after, alumni Satish and Yasmin Gupta gifted $12 million for management education.

University of Dallas Accreditation Details

In March 2020, the University of Dallas will submit the Fifth-Year Interim Report to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to continue its Level VI accreditation status through the next Spring 2024 evaluation under President Thomas S. Hibbs, Ph.D., who earned the American Maritain Association Scholarly Excellence Award. Located 798 miles east via Interstate 20 in Decatur, Georgia, this expansive 11-state Deep South Region accreditor is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) to review UD’s 24 baccalaureate, 22 master’s, and five doctoral majors. Further, the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business was also accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International in 2012.

University of Dallas Application Requirements

Admission to the University of Dallas is classified as “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s because only 2,554 of the 4,188 Fall 2018 applicants were chosen for 61 percent acceptance. First-year Crusaders seeking the B.S. in Business must finish a high school diploma or the GED. The Class of 2022 reported a mean overall GPA of 3.90. The middle 50th percentile had ACT scores of 23-29. Mid-range admitted SAT scores were 1120-1340. Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business transfers must hold 24+ non-remedial credits with GPAs of 2.50 and better. Up to 60 community college and 90 university credits graded above C are transferrable. Non-U.S. residents often need a minimum 6.5 IELTS, 80 TOEFL iBT, or 67 PTE score. The Graduate School of Management seeks four-year bachelor’s degrees or foreign equivalent credentials with 2.0 or greater GPAs. The M.S. in Business Analytics lists some prerequisite courses, including Statistics and Data Analysis. Taking the GMAT is optional, but the average score is 662. Doctor of Business Administration cohorts also need 12+ years of work experience.

The University of Dallas has freshman deadlines of November 1st for Early Action I, December 1st for Early Action II, and March 1st for Regular Decision. Gupta College of Business transfers file until August 1st for Fall and January 1st for Spring. International students should apply before May 1st or October 1st. Business master’s programs offer rolling admission. Only the Doctor of Business Administration closes on December 13th. Accordingly, complete the ApplyTexas or Common Application online for $50. Tuition and Financial Aid

For 2019-20, the University of Dallas is charging full-time B.S. in Business majors $19,840 per semester or $39,680 annually. Studying part-time incurs $1,653 per credit. Summer courses are discounted to $525 per credit. Undergrads pay the $1,500 comprehensive fee each term. Unless waived, the health insurance fee is $1,726. Residing at the dorms like Clark Hall adds $3,450 to $5,175 for semester housing. All Access plans for the Haggar Cafe are $3,030 extra. UD budgets $1,000 for textbooks and $3,300 for miscellaneous. Yearly bachelor’s attendance equals $57,352 on-site or $43,852 with family. The Gupta College of Business bills M.S. and MBA cohorts $1,250 per credit. Doctor of Business Administration tuition is $1,625 per credit.

According to the NCES College Navigator, the Office of Financial Aid on Cardinal Farrell Hall’s 1st Floor connects 100 percent of new full-time UD Crusaders to tuition assistance averaging $28,397 each for $11.84 million combined. University funds include the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, Aspiring Scholars Award, Co-Curricular Achievement Scholarship, Parish Matching Scholarship, DFW Catholic High School Scholarship, O’Hara Institute Scholarship, Founder’s Scholarship, Provost’s Scholarship, Computer Sciences Scholarship, National Hispanic Scholars Scholarship, Premier Scholarship, Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship, and George S. Sturgeon Scholarship for Women. The Gupta College of Business Graduate Scholarship reduces tuition to $1,000 per credit for MBA and M.S. students taking 6+ credits with minimum 3.0 GPAs. The Trustee Scholarship provides $30,000 annually for four years if undergrads maintain cumulative GPAs above 2.95. Federal resources, such as the Pell Grant and Graduate Plus Loan, require FAFSA applications coded 009741. Texans also pursue the Tuition Equalization Grant, Opportunity Grant, Armed Services Scholarship, Gilda Murray Scholarship, Horatio Alger Scholarship, and others.
